GEONETCAST Satellite Facility

The Department of Geography has installed a satellite data receiving station. GEONETCast is a low-cost global environmental information delivery system that transmits satellite and in-situ data, products, and services from the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS) to users through communications satellites, using a multi-cast, access-controlled broadband capability.
