Hannington Wasswa

He holds a PhD in Environmental Geography from Nelson Mandela University, South Africa, MA. Geography, and BA. (Education) from Makerere University. He is currently a lecturer in the Department of Geography Geo-Informatics and Climatic Sciences, College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences. He is a specialist in Environmental Geography and Regional Geographies. He has undertaken a number of research studies on wetland river bank ecosystem services, wetland and buffer zone conservation. He has widely published on wetland conservation and management in Internationally recognized peer reviewed Journals.

He is also the Coordinator of the Bachelors of Geographical Sciences, – Programme at Makerere University.
