I am a passionate and driven professional with a strong academic foundation that includes a PhD specializing in vulnerability, livelihood assessment, resettlement due to land acquisition, and the effects of natural resource extraction. My research has focused on understanding the complexities and challenges faced by communities in transition, particularly those impacted by environmental changes and development initiatives.

In addition to my doctoral studies, I have earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Land Restoration and Sustainable Land Management, which has equipped me with practical knowledge and skills in restoring ecosystems and promoting sustainable practices in land use. This complements my Master’s Degree in Development Studies, where I specialised in Geography. My studies in this area have provided me with a comprehensive understanding of spatial dynamics and their implications for social and economic development.

I also hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Management, which has been instrumental in shaping my commitment to ethical and sustainable resource management. I am dedicated to integrating theoretical knowledge with practical solutions to enhance community resilience and promote environmental sustainability.

With a keen interest in collaborating on interdisciplinary projects, I aim to contribute my expertise to initiatives that address the intersection of human livelihoods and environmental stewardship, ensuring that vulnerable populations are heard and supported in the face of change.

I participated in the Africa Climate and Health Responder course, which provided valuable insights into the unique challenges faced by African communities in addressing climate-related health issues. Additionally, I have engaged in programs emphasising Education for Action, where I learned the importance of raising awareness and fostering community involvement in climate action.

I also completed several specialised training programs focused on the intersection of climate change and health, including the European Climate Health and Resilient Systems course. This training has enhanced my understanding of how climate change impacts public health and has equipped me with the tools to develop strategies for mitigation and adaptation.

My research interests lie at the intersection of environment and health, encompassing areas such as vulnerability assessment, livelihood assessment, and gender analysis. I am also keen on population analysis, development-induced resettlement, and land assessment and restoration.

My training has strengthened my commitment to addressing climate change through a health lens, and I am passionate about implementing effective solutions that promote resilience within communities.
