Geoffrey Sabiiti is an experienced climate scientist who has currently submitted his PhD thesis write-up entitled “Modelling Climate Variability and Change and associated Impacts on Banana Production in Uganda”. Geoffrey’s current research involves assessing the drivers of current climate variability and future climate change over Uganda and how the climate extremes associated with variability and change Impact on banana production in Uganda. His work has benefited from the considerable experience in evaluation of climate model errors and uncertainties that he has acquired over the years. Previously (2011/2012), he conducted successful research on the evaluation UK Met office regional climate models and downscaled climate projections over the Greater Horn of Africa (GHA) as a DfID-Met Office Climate Science Research Partnership fellow.
